Location: This tour is held on Zaamin, Turkestan range, Djizak region, Republic of Uzbekistan.

Group size.This adventure travel holiday is generally limited to a maximum 14 people, not including any trek leaders or journalists. We feel that larger group sizes have an adverse for the natural environments and cultures.

 

The way to Zaamin from the capital of Uzbekistan, the city of Tashkent, lies to the south along large Uzbek highway about 260 km. Geographical location of Zaamin – Nortern slops of the Turkestan range of the Pamiro – Alay circuit. Extent and steepness of these slops are different, from extreme steep slopes to slopes of medium steepness turning to plateau. Our guides will find you suitable ways for descents in different parts of Turkestanskiy range in regard to snowy cover, and level of you preparation. Short flights under the circumstances of choosing descents will save your money and time. A helicopter will drop you to summits of 3.5 to 4.5 km over the sea level. The extent of your descents will be three to five km. You will make 7-10 descents on virgin snow a day, flying from one area to another. You will stay at Zaamin Hotel, situated in Zaamin gorge, 80 km from administrative Djizak city, on the altitude of 1700 m. Helicopter platform is 100 meters from Hotel.

 

Programme

Day 1.Arrive Tashkent. Met at the international airport. Transfer to the high mountain tourist centre “Zaamin” with the hotel of the same name. Accommodation in this mountain hotel. Preparation of the equipment necessary for skiing in the mountains.

Days 2-5.Mountain-skiing descents along the slopes of different steepness, difficulty and extent. Ascents on summits, mountain ranges by a helicopter MI-8 MTV.  

Day 6.Skiing until noon. Afternoon transfer to Tashkent. Check in a hotel. Dinner.

Day 7.Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the international airport. Depart Tashkent.

Food:

3 meals a day in the city

on days of skiing  – additional dry ration and soft drinks.
