This tour acquaints you with one of the most picturesque place of the western Tjan-Shan- gorge of the Kok – Su River. Turquoise lakes, squeezed by rocky vice, legendary Brichmulla, majestic panorama of the mountains visible from the Ikhnach pass (H=3430m), birch groves, crossings over fast moving rivers await you. You will enjoy your time on the shore of theCharwak water reservoir. Most amazing part of this route is walking through gorges.
Programme
Day 1.Arrival in Tashkent. Met at the airport and transfer to a hotel. Check in the hotel. A time to relax. Lunch. Excursion around the architectural monuments of Tashkent city, including visit to Kukeldash Medresseh (CXVI), Barak-Khan Medresseh (CXVI), Kaffal Al Shashe Mausoleum (CXVI), Khast-Imam complex and Orient Bazaar of Chor-Su for 4 hours. Dinner.
Day 2.Breakfast at the hotel. Drive to Pskem settlement for start point of this trekking (on a comfortable bus up to Charvak settlement and onward on a general-duty cross-country vehicle). Lunch en route. Dinner on arrival. Overnight on the bank of the Pskem River.
Day 3.Preparation caravan of pack animals for trekking (packing). Afternoon commence trekking. Walk along the Semizsazsay River. Onward walk to the Ikhnachay River. Overnight on the bank of the Ikhnachay River.
Day 4.Walk to Ikhnachkul lake (H=2404m). Overnight on the shore of the Ikhnachkul Lake.
Day 5.Walk across the Ikhnach pss (H=3430m). Descend to upper reaches of Kok-Su River. Overnight on the bank of the Kok-Su River.
Day 6.Walk to the big Sarykamskogo Lake. Overnight on the shore of this Lake. Our caravan of pack animals returns to Pskem settlement. Onward a necessary baggage (tents, ropes, foods, and others) will be carried by porters, who meet the expedition at the big Sarykamskogo Lake.
Day 7.Walk up to the second Sarykamskogo Lake (T=7-8 hrs.). Overnight on the shore of this Lake.
Days 8-9.Walk on as narrow as a defile the first of Sarykamskogo Lake. Overnight on the shore of this Lake.
Day 10.Walk to Ayryk. Overnight.
Day 11.Reserve day. Enjoyable walk to the shore of the turquoise lake of Kichkina-Kul.
Day 12.Descend along the Kok-Su river (T=6-8 hrs.). Overnight on the bank of the Kok-Su River.
Day 13.Continuing descending along the Kok-Su river to brichmulla mountain village. Drive by a bus to Charvak Water Reservoir. Overnight on the shore of this Water Reservoir.
Day 14.Rest on the shore of Charvak Water Reservoir. Drive out to Tashkent. Stop in Khodjikent for lunch in “Chinary” Chaykhona (Tea refectory) on the way to Tashkent. Survey of petrographs. Upon arrival in Tashkent, check in a hotel. Dinner.
Day 15.Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport. Departure from Tashkent.
