SpecializationHighest level of Difficulty Rafting

Location:Oygaing and Pskem rivers, Western Tian-Shan, Tashkent area, Republic of Uzbekistan.

Durationis 14 days

Best timeto travel is August to October. h

This rafting begins from the Oygaing meteorological station what all tourists get from Tashkent on the motor-way (first on asphalt (D=140km) and then on earth road (D=80km)). First 10 km of rafting is very easy. All complications begin from the dangerous obstacle of Oygaing – rushing water 20km length. There is the huge stone blocking 2/3 of the river on the entry to this river part and then there is 2 meters high waterfall. Mooring is very complicated. It is needed to carry catamarans over stones for the start to the next stage. It is rather complicated to cover the distance (0.5-3 km a day). The way to catamarans on the Oygaing rapids is the complete slalom, where the success of rafting depends on the skill of rafters.
