Tashkent-Fergana (Rishtan, Margilan)-Tashkent- Samarkand-Shakhrizhabz-Bukhara-Khiva(Urgench)-Tashkent

Programme

 

Day 1. Arrive Tashkent.

On arrival in Tashkent, met and transfer to the Tsobi hotel for check in, refreshment. Free time. Lunch. Enjoy sightseeing around the city of Tashkent for 3 hours includes visiting the house-museum of ceramics of a family of artisans whose hereditary dynasty is the ceramics handicraft. Dinner.

Day 2. Tashkent-Fergana, Rishtan

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the domestic airport for the direct fly to Fergana. On arrival met and transfer to the hotel, check in. Transfer to Rishtan (D=30km) for sightseeing at a ceramic factory and get acquainted with the technology of ceramic production. Visit handicrafts locations where people still draw ceramic articles by hands. Here you can also purchase earthen toys and laygans (big earthen plates). Lunch in an Uzbek private house with an Uzbek family.

Then, transfer back to Fergana, on arrival a little excursion around the city and visit to the orient basaar. Dinner.

Day 3. Margilan, Fergana-Tashkent

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Margilan for enjoy sightseeing at a silk factory in Margilan (8-km drive from Fergana) using hand technology for silk production. You will see all stages of the production, beginning with making silk threads from cocoons of silk worms and finishing with a visit to the weaving-room. 

In the shop of this factory you can buy silk articles made here in the factory. Then, transfer back to Fergana. Lunch. Transfer to the airport for the direct fly to Tashkent. On arrival met and transfer for check in the Tsorbi hotel. Dinner.

Day 4 . Tashkent, Tashkent-Samarkand   

Breakfast at the hotel. AM visit to the Museum of Applied Art of Republic Of Uzbekistan and  the Museum of History of Central Asian Peoples. Lunch. Afternoon drive to Samarkand. (D=290km, T=4.5-5hrs.). On arrival in Samarkand check in the hotel. Dinner.

Day 5. Samarkand

Breakfast at the Guest House. AM excursion around Samarkand for 4 hrs. includes visiting Gur-Emir Mausoleum of Tamerlane's dynasty (CXIV), the Registan Square (CCXV-XVII) with its three madrassahs of Ulugbek, Sher-Dor and Tilla-Kori. Lunch. Go on sightseeing tour for 3 hours with visits to Shakhi-Zinda necropolis (CCXI-XV), Bibi-Khanum Mosque (CCXIV-XV) and an orient bazaar. Visit to the Sher-Dor Madrassah with a view to see a folklore performance (for 1 hour): traditions, customs, marriage ceremonies. Dinner.

Day 6. Samarkand

Breakfast at the hotel. AM excursion around Samarkand for 4 hrs. includes visiting Ulugbek Observatory (CXV), excavations of an ancient city and museum of Afrosiab (from CII BC till XII AD), Tombstone of Saint Daniar and the saint spring. Lunch. Visit the wine complex named after Khovrenko (one of the oldest complexes in Uzbekistan) to taste wines. Dinner

Day7. Samarkand-Shakhrizhabz, Shakhrizhabz, Shakhrizhabz-Bukhara

Breakfast at the hotel. AM drive to Shakhrizhabz - home town of Tamerlane the Great (D=160km, T=2-2.5hrs.). On arrival, sightseeing tour around the town of Shakhrizhabz for 3 hrs. including visits to Ak-Saray Palace (CCXIV-XV), Darus Saodat Complex (CCXIV-XIX), Orient Saunas (CCXIV-XVII). Lunch. Drive to Bukhara. (D=300km, T=4.5 hrs.). Bukhara is the well known city all over the world thanks to its ancient monuments remained from epoch of the Samanid's dynasty dominated there at their times. Lunch. Check in the Sasha & Son Suest House (old House built in CXIX in European style). Dinner.

Day 8. Bukhara.Breakfast at the hotel. Full day sightseeing tour around Bukhara. AM portion of the excursion for 4 hrs. includes visiting Ark Fortress- Citadel (CCV-XIX), Bolo-House Mosque (CXVII), Ismail Samani Mausoleum (CIX). Lunch. Afternoon go on sightseeing tour for 4 hours with visits to the Laby –House Complex (CCXVI-XVII), Nodira-Divan-Begi Madrassah (acquaintance with Bukhara coinage (copper and brass)), orient bazaar with tree cupolas (CXVI) – suzane, Bukhara carpets, ceramic hand-made, numismatics and etc. Approach the Poi-Kalan Complex from Kalan Minaret (CXII). Dinner.

Day 9. Bukhara

Breakfast at the hotel. AM go on sightseeing tour around Bukhara for 4 hours with visits to Bogoutddin Nakshbandi Complex (CXIV) – The Complex established by the founder of Suffizm (direction in Islam Religion), Summer Residence of Emir Sitora-A-Mokhi-Khosa (CXIX). Lunch. Visit to factory of gold embroidery (famous Bukhara house-coats, suzane, decorations made from brocade with gold needlework), folklore show in Guya-Kushon Madrassah (CCXVI-XVII) (folk musical instruments, dancing and singing, show of European Fashion with some elements of Eastern traditions). Dinner.

Day 10. Bukhara

Breakfast at the hotel. Guided tour to the Chor-Bakr Complex of Mausoleums (CVII) (14km away from the city), Chor-Minor Mausoleum (CXIX). Lunch. Afternoon visit to the national house-museum named after merchant F. Khodjaev (CXIX) including tea-drinking and demonstration of national clothes CXIX – beginning of CXX. Chashma-Ayub Mausoleum (CCXII-XVI). Dinner.

Day 11. Bukhara, Bukhara-Khiva

Breakfast at the hotel. Visit to the factory manufacturing carpets (including handwork, Bukhara, Khiva and Turkmen decorative designs).Transfer to Khiva (D=500km, T=7hrs.) via the Kyzyl-Kum desert and Amu –Darya River. Lunch en route (picnic in the Kyzyl-Kum desert), stop on the bank of the Amu-Darya River. On arrival in Khiva check in hotel. Dinner.

Day 12. Khiva.

Breakfast at the hotel. Enjoy full day sightseeing in Khiva (town-museum) including visits to the inner town of Ichan-Kala Complex (CCV-XX). Lunch in a national house with an Uzbek family. PM transfer to Urgench airport (D=30km)  for the direct fly to Tashkent (T=1.5hrs. in the air). Arrival in Tashkent, met and transfer to the Tsobi hotel for check in. Dinner.

 

 

Day 13. Tashkent.

Breakfast at the hotel. Visit to the Art Gallery and workshop of artist Lekim Ibragimov, acquaintance with his works, then visit to the Exhibition Hall. Lunch. Free time. PM visit to the theatre of opera and ballet named after the great national poet Alisher Navoi. Dinner.

Day 14. Depart Tashkent.

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport. Depart Tashkent.
