Tashkent-Samarkand-Sahkhrizhabz-Termez-Bukhara-Urgench-Khiva-Tashkent (13 days)

 

Programme

 

Day 1. Arrive Tashkent.

On arrival in Tashkent, met and transfer to a hotel for check in, refreshment, free time. Lunch. Enjoy sightseeing around the city of Tashkent for 4 hours included visiting the Amir Timur Square, Theatres Square, Monument of Courage, Square of Peoples Friendship, orient bazaar of Alayskiy in the downtown. Dinner.

Day 2. Tashkent, Tashkent-Samarkand

Breakfast at the hotel. AM drive to Samarkand. (D=290km, T=4.5-5hrs.). On arrival in Samarkand check in a hotel. Lunch. Sightseeing tour for 4 hours with visits to the Registan Square with its three madrassahs of Ulugbek, Sher-Dor and Tilla-Kori. Dinner.

Day 3. Samarkand

Breakfast at the hotel. AM sightseeing tour around Samarkand for 4 hrs. including visits to the Ulugbek Observatory (CXV), Tombstone of Saint Daniar, excavations of an ancient city and museum of Afrosiab, Shakhi-Zinda necropolis (CCXI-XV). Lunch. Go on sightseeing tour for 3 hours with visits to the Gur-Emir Mausoleum of Tamerlane's dynasty (CXIV), Rukhabad Ensemble (CCXIV-XIX) and Khodja Akhrar Complex (CXVII). Dinner .

Day 4. Samarkand

Breakfast at the hotel. AM excursion around Samarkand for 4 hrs. included visiting Khazret Khizir Mosque (CVII), Bibi-Khanum Mosque (CCXIV-XV),and an orient bazaar. Lunch. Free time or there is alternative to visit Folklore Concert, wine complex to taste wines. Dinner.

Day 5. Samarkand-Shakhrizhabz, Shakhrizhabz

Breakfast at the hotel. AM drive to Shakhrizhabz - home town of Tamerlane the Great (D=160km, T=2-2.5hrs.). On arrival check in the hotel and then sightseeing tour around the town of Shakhrizhabz for 1.5 hrs. including visits to Ak-Saray Palace (CCXIV-XV). Lunch and go on excursion programme for 3 hrs. to Darus Saodat Complex (CCXIV-XIX), Darus Tillavat Complex (CCXV), Orient Saunas (CCXIV-XVII). Dinner.

Day 6. Shakhrizhabz-Termez, Termez

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Termas (D=420km, T=6.5 hrs.). The road goes via Guzar and Sherabad along a big Uzbek highway. On this day you will see the gigantic one thousand-year-old chinar (platan) and medical mineral springs in the settlement of Sairob. Upon arrival you will check in the hotel. Late lunch.

Sightseeing includes visiting a Buddhist monastery complex of Kara Tepe and Mausoleum Fayaz Tepe (CCI-II AD). Dinner.

Day 7. Termez, Termez-Bukhara.

Breakfast at the hotel. Go on sightseeing for 3 hrs. includes visiting the Khakish-Al-Termezi Mausoleum (CCIX-XV), Sultan-Saodat Mausoleum (CCXI-XVII), Fortress of Kyrk-Kyz (CIX). Early lunch. Drive to Bukhara. (D=570km, T=7.5hrs.). Bukhara is the well known city all over the world thanks to its ancient monuments remained from epoch

of the Samanid's dynasty dominated there at their times. Check in a hotel. Dinner.

Day 8. Bukhara.

Breakfast at the hotel. Full day sightseeing tour around Bukhara. AM portion of the excursion for 4 hrs. includes visiting Ark Fortress- Citadel (CCV-XIX), Bolo-House Mosque (CXVII), Chor-Minor Mausoleum (CXIX). Lunch. Go on sightseeing tour on foot for 4 hours afternoon with visits to the old part of the city, from Poi-Kalan Complex with Kalan Minaret (CXII) through orient bazaar with tree cupolas of Toki Zargaron (CXVI), Toki Sarrafon (CXVI), Toki Telpak Furushon (CXVI) to Laby –House Complex (CCXVI-XVII). Dinner.

Day 9. Bukhara

Breakfast at the hotel. AM first portion of the sightseeing tour around Bukhara for 4 hours with visits to the Chor-Bakr Complex of Mausoleums (CVII), Ismail Samani Mausoleum (CIX), Chashma-Ayub Mausoleum (CCXII-XVI). Lunch. Afternoon go on sightseeing tour for 3 hours with visits to the  Summer Residence of Emir Sitora-A-Mokhi-Khosa (CXIX), national house-museum named after merchant F. Khodjaev (CXIX) including tea-drinking and demonstration of national clothes CXIX – beginning of CXX. Dinner.

Day 10. Bukhara-Urgench.

Breakfast at the hotel. Free time for 2 hrs. as an alternative to visit Bogoutddin Nakshbandi Complex (CXIV). Transfer to Urgench via the Kyzyl-Kum desert and Amu –Darya River (D=470km, T=6.5-7hrs). Lunch en route (picnic in the Kyzyl-Kum desert), stop on the bank of the Amu-Darya River. On arrival in Urgench check in a hotel. Dinner.

Day 11. Urgench (Khiva).

Breakfast at the hotel. Enjoy full day sightseeing in Khiva (30km from Urgench) including visits to the inner town of Ichan-Kala (CCV-XX) consisted of Kalta Minor Minaret,  Shirgizi Khana Madrassah, Djuma Mosque, Tash-Khauli Palace, Muhammad Alin Khana Madrassah, Islam Khogja Madrassah and etc. Lunch in a national house with an Uzbek family. PM return to Urgench. Dinner.

Day 12. Urgench-Tashkent, Tashkent.

Breakfast at the hotel. Guided tour to the pontoon bridge across the Amu-Darya River (T=1.5 hrs.). Return to Urgench for the direct fly to Tashkent (T=1.5hrs. in the air). Arrival in Tashkent, met and transfer to a hotel for check in. Lunch. Enjoy sightseeing for 3 hrs. includes visiting Khast-Imam Complex (CXVI) consisted of the Barak-Khan Madrassah, Kaffal-al-Shashi Mausoleum and Tilla-Sheikh Mosque and  Kukeldash Madrassah (CXVI). Dinner.

 

Day 13. Depart Tashkent.

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport. Depart Tashkent.
