Programme

Day 1. Arrive Tashkent.

On arrival in Tashkent, met and transfer to a hotel for check in, refreshment, free time. Lunch. Enjoy sightseeing around the city of Tashkent for 4 hours included visiting the Amir Timur Square, Theatres Square, Monument of Courage, Khast-Imam Complex (CXVI) consisted of the Barak-Khan Madrassah, Kaffal-al-Shashi Mausoleum and Tilla-Sheikh Mosque. Kukeldash Madrassah (CXVI), orient bazaar of Chor-Su. Dinner.

Day 2. Tashkent, Tashkent-Urgench

Breakfast at the hotel. AM sightseeing tour around Tashkent for 3 hours with visits to the Museum of Applied Art, Square of Peoples Friendship, Abdul Kasim Madrassah (CXIX). Lunch. Afternoon transfer to the airport for the direct fly to Urgench (T=1.5hrs. in the air). Arrival in Urgench, met and transfer to a hotel for check in. Dinner.

Day 3. Urgench (Khiva).

Breakfast at the hotel. Enjoy full day sightseeing in Khiva (30km from Urgench) including visits to the inner town of Ichan-Kala (CCV-XX) consisted of Kalta Minor Minaret,  Shirgizi Khana Madrassah, Djuma Mosque, Tash-Khauli Palace, Muhammad Alin Khana Madrassah, Divan Begi Madrassah, Pakhlavan Makhmud Mausoleum, Islam Khogja Madrassah, Abdulla Khona Madrassah and Khiva orient bazaar. Lunch in a national house with an Uzbek family. PM return to Urgench. Dinner.

Day 4. Urgench-Kunya Urgench

AM guided tour to the ancient capital of Khorezm, Kunya Urgench (Turkmenistan) (D=180km, T=3hrs). Until noon excursion around the ancient city. Kunya-Urgench is the ancient capital of Khorezm and is situated 180 km to the north-west from Urgench (Khiva) in the territory of Turkmenistan. On the way, you will stop at the border 5 km from Tashauz for obtaining your visa. You will get acquainted with the centuries-old history of Gurganj and will see historical monuments of the 12-16th centuries, such as Nodjmaddin Al-Kurba and Sultan Ali Mausoleums, Tarabek Khanum Mausoleum, the highest minaret of Kutlug Timur (62 meters), Sultan Tekesh Mausoleum, Tash-Kala Caravanserai, Fakridin-Razi Mausoleum and Ruins of the Mamun the 2^nd Minaret. Lunch. Afternoon transfer to Tashauz (D=110km, T=2hrs.). Fly to Ashkabad. PM return to Urgench. Dinner. 

Day 5. Ashkabad, Nissa.

Breakfast at the hotel. Enjoy full day sightseeing in Ashkabad including visits to the Ashkabad orient bazaar, museum of fine arts, museum with the collection of carpets, museum of study of local lore. Lunch. Drive for the guided tour to Nissa – the capital of Parfian monarchs. Return to the hotel. Dinner.       

Day 6. Ashkabad-Mary, Mary

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Mary (T=5hrs.). On arrival check in a hotel. Lunch. Enjoy sightseeing in Mary for 4 hrs. Including visits to the museum of study of local lore, then to the old part of this city famous since the I millenium BC: Erk-Kala Fortress, Sultan Sandjar Fortress, Mohammed-Ibn-Zenda Mausoleum, Kiz-Kala Fortress and the Mary orient bazaar. Dinner.    

Day 7. Mary-Bukhara. Bukhara.

Breakfast at the hotel. AM Transfer to Bukhara. (D=350km in Uzbekistan, T=6hrs.). On arrival in Bukhara check in a hotel. Lunch. Afternoon sightseeing around this town for 3 hrs. including visits to Ark Fortress- Citadel (CCV-XIX), Bolo-House Mosque (CXVII). Dinner.

Day 8. Bukhara.

Breakfast at the hotel. Full day sightseeing tour around Bukhara. AM portion of the excursion for 4 hrs. includes visiting Kalan Minaret (CXII), Kalan Mosque (CXVI), Mir-Arab Madrassah (CXVI), Ulugbek Madrassah (CXV), Abdullazizkhan Madrassah (CXVII), trade cupolas of Toki Zargaron (CXVI), Toki Sarrafon (CXVI), Toki Telpak Furushon (CXVI), Guakshion Madrassah (CXVI), Magoki-Attari Mosque(CXII), Kukeldash Madrassah (CXVI), Lyabi House Complex (CCXVI-XVII). Lunch. Afternoon go on sightseeing tour with visits to the Chor Minor Mausoleum (CXIX), Ismail Samani Mausoleum (CIX), Chashma-Ayub Mausoleum (CCXII-XVI). Dinner.

Day 9. Bukhara.

Breakfast at the hotel. AM first portion of the sightseeing tour around Bukhara for 4 hours with visits to Bogoutddin Nakshbandi Complex (CXIV), Summer Residence of Emir Sitora-A-Mokhi-Khosa (CXIX). Lunch. Go on sightseeing tour for 3 hours afternoon with visits to Chor-Bakr Complex of Mausoleums (CVII), national house-museum named after merchant F. Khodjaev (CXIX) including tea-drinking and demonstration of national clothes CXIX – beginning of CXX. Dinner.  

Day 10. Bukhara-Shakhrizhabz. Shakhrizhabz. Shakhrizhabz-Samarkand.

Breakfast at the hotel. AM drive to Shakhrizhabz - home town of Tamerlane the Great (D=300km, T=4.5hrs.). On arrival, lunch and then sightseeing tour around the town of Shakhrizhabz including visits to Ak-Saray Palace (CCXIV-XV), Darus Saodat Complex (CCXIV-XIX), Darus Tillavat Complex (CCXV), Orient Saunas (CCXIV-XVII), Shakhrizhabz orient bazaar.  Transfer to Samarkand (D=160km, T=2.5-3hrs.). On arrival check in a hotel. Dinner. 

Day11.    Samarkand

Breakfast at the hotel. AM excursion around Samarkand for 4 hrs. included visiting the Registan Square with its three madrassahs of Ulugbek, Sher-Dor and Tilla-Kori, Samarkand orient bazaar, Bibi-Khanum Mosque (CCXIV-XV), Shakhi-Zinda necropolis (CCXI-XV). Lunch. . Go on sightseeing tour for 3 hours afternoon with visits to the Ulugbek Observatory (CXV), excavations of an ancient city and museum of Afrosiab, Tombstone of the Saint Daniar. Dinner .

Day 12.

Breakfast at the hotel. Enjoy full day sightseeing around Samarkand including visits to Gur-Emir Mausoleum of Tamerlane's dynasty (CXIV), Rukhabad Ensemble (CCXIV-XIX), Khazret Khizir Mosque (CVII), Khodja Akhrar Complex (CXVII), Abdi Darun Mausoleum (CXV) and Ishrat Khona Mausoleum (CXV).    Lunch. Free time. Dinner. 

Day 13. Samarkand-Tashkent.

Breakfast at the hotel. Drive to Tashkent. (D=290km, T=4.5-5hrs.). On arrival in Tashkent check in a hotel. Lunch. Free time or visit to the Amir Timur Museum. Dinner.

Day 14. Depart Tashkent.  

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport. Depart Tashkent.

 

 

 

The price quoted for this programme includes the following:

1.        Visa support letter both for Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan
