Programme

Day 1. Arrive Tashkent.

On arrival in Tashkent, met and transfer to a hotel for check in, refreshment, free time. Lunch. Enjoy sightseeing around the city of Tashkent for 4 hours included visiting the Amir Timur Square, Theatres Square, Monument of Courage, Khast-Imam Complex (CXVI) consisted of the Barak-Khan Madrassah, Kaffal-al-Shashi Mausoleum and Tilla-Sheikh Mosque. Kukeldash Madrassah (CXVI), orient bazaar of Chor-Su. Dinner.

Day 2. Tashkent-Fergana, Kokand

Breakfast at the hotel. AM fly to Fergana (1.5 hrs. in the air). Met and transfer to a hotel for check in. Drive for a guided tour to Kokand (90 km from Fergana) including visiting Palace of Khudoyar-Khan (CXIX), Madrassah and Mosque of Norbutabiya (CXVIII), Djuma Mosque, and the tomb of Nadira-Divan-Begi for 3 hours. Lunch. Then, transfer back to Fergana. Dinner.

Day 3. Margilan, Rishtan, Fergana-Tashkent

Breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast guided tour to Margilan (17 km from Fergana) including visiting a silk factory "Edgorlic" using hand technology for silk productions. You will see all stages of the production, beginning with making silk threads from cocoons of silk warms and finishing with a visit to the weaving-room. In the shop of this factory you can buy silk articles made here in the factory (like Khan-Atlas, Bekassab, Adras etc.).Lunch. Then, transfer to Rishtan (D=30km) for sightseeing at a ceramic factory and get acquainted with the technology of ceramic production. Visit handicrafts locations where people still draw ceramic articles by hands. Here you can also purchase earthen toys and laygans (big earthen plates).

Then, transfer back to Fergana for the PM fly to Tashkent (1.5 hrs. in the air). On arrival met and transfer to a hotel. Accommodation in the hotel.. Dinner.

Day 4. Tashkent-Samarkand, Samarkand

Breakfast at the hotel. AM drive to Samarkand. (D=290km, T=4.5-5hrs.). On arrival in Samarkand check in a hotel. Lunch. Afternoon sightseeing tour around Samarkand for 4 hours including visits to the Registan Square with its three madrassahs of Ulugbek, Sher-Dor and Tilla-Kori. Dinner .

Day 5. Samarkand

Breakfast at the hotel. AM excursion around Samarkand for 4 hrs. included visiting Ulugbek Observatory (CXV), excavations of an ancient city and museum of Afrosiab, Tombstone of Saint Daniar, Shakhi-Zinda necropolis (CCXI-XV). Lunch. Go on sightseeing tour for 3 hours with visits to Gur-Emir Mausoleum of Tamerlane's dynasty (CXIV), Rukhabad Ensemble (CCXIV-XIX), Khodja Akhrar Complex (CXVII). Dinner.

Day 6. Samarkand

Breakfast at the hotel. AM excursion around Samarkand for 3 hrs. included visiting Khazret Khizir Mosque (CVII), Bibi-Khanum Mosque (CCXIV-XV), and an orient bazaar. Lunch. Go on sightseeing tour for 2 hours with visits to the Abdi Darun Mausoleum (CXV), Ishrat Khona Mausoleum (CXV). Free time. Dinner. 

Day 7. Samarkand-Shakhrizhabz, Shakhrizhabz

Breakfast at the hotel. AM drive to Shakhrizhabz - home town of Tamerlane the Great (D=160km, T=2-2.5hrs.). On arrival check in the hotel and then sightseeing tour around the town of Shakhrizhabz for 1.5-2 hrs. including visits to Ak-Saray Palace (CCXIV-XV). Lunch and go on excursion programme to Darus Saodat Complex (CCXIV-XIX), Darus Tillavat Complex (CCXV), Orient Saunas (CCXIV-XVII). Dinner.

Day 8. Samarkand-Bukhara, Bukhara

Breakfast at the hotel. AM drive to Bukhara. (D=300km, T=4.5 hrs.). Bukhara is the well known city all over the world thanks to its ancient monuments remained from epoch of the Samanid's dynasty dominated there at their times. On arrival check in a hotel. Lunch and then afternoon guided tour visiting the Ark Fortress- Citadel (CCV-XIX), Bolo-House Mosque (CXVII), Ismail Samani Mausoleum (CIX), Chashma-Ayub Mausoleum (CCXII-XVI).Dinner.

Day 9. Bukhara.Breakfast at the hotel. Full day sightseeing tour around Bukhara. AM portion of the excursion for 4 hrs. includes visiting the old part of the city, from Poi-Kalan Complex with Kalan Minaret (CXII) through orient bazaar with tree cupolas of Toki Zargaron (CXVI), Toki Sarrafon (CXVI), Toki Telpak Furushon (CXVI) to Laby –House Complex (CCXVI-XVII). Lunch. Go on afternoon sightseeing tour for 3 hours with visits to Summer Residence of Emir Sitora-A-Mokhi-Khosa (CXIX) and Chor Minor Mausoleum (CXIX). Dinner.

Day 10. Bukhara

Breakfast at the hotel. Sightseeing tour around Bukhara for 3 hours with visits to Bogoutddin Nakshbandi Complex (CXIV) with the Museum, Chor-Bakr Complex of Mausoleums (CVII). Lunch. Go on sightseeing tour for 3 hours afternoon with visit to the national house-museum named after merchant F. Khodjaev (CXIX) including tea-drinking and demonstration of national clothes CXIX – beginning of CXX. Free time. Dinner.  

Day 11. Bukhara-Urgench.Breakfast at the hotel. AM transfer to Urgench via the Kyzyl-Kum desert and Amu –Darya River (D=470km, T=6.5-7hrs). Lunch en route. Check in a hotel. Free time, visit an orient  bazaar. Dinner.

Day 12. Urgench (Khiva), Urgench - Tashkent.

 Breakfast at the hotel. Enjoy full day sightseeing in Khiva (30km from Urgench) including visits to the inner town of Ichan-Kala (CCV-XX) consisted of Kalta Minor Minaret,  Shirgizi Khana Madrassah, Djuma Mosque, Tash-Khauli Palace, Muhammad Alin Khana Madrassah, Islam Khogja Madrassah and Abdulla Khona Madrassah. Lunch in a national house with an Uzbek family. PM return to Urgench for the direct fly to Tashkent (T=1.5hrs. in the air). Arrival in Tashkent, met and transfer to a hotel for check in. Dinner.

Day 13. Tashkent-Chimhan-Tashkent

Breakfast at the hotel. AM drive to Chimgan (west Tien-Shan). Chimgan Canyon and the high mountainous resort of the same name are situated 80 km west of Tashkent in the west Tien-Shan mountains, on the slope of Bolshoi (Big) Chimgan (3309 m).

                The road goes by the Chirchik River to this marvellous part of nature. Picturesque villages stretch one by one along the road, some of them alternate with fruit gardens and vineyards. Then the road goes over the dam for the Charvak hydroelectric power station and on down to the water reservoir with splendid views of artificial mountainous lake revealed along the way. The lake is surrounded by mountainous ranges and filled by three mountainous rivers: Pscem, Chatkal, and Aksu. Here you can go boating and surfing, or just swim and lie under the sun.

Further up on Chimgan-sai you will get to Chimgan, situated at an altitude of 1500-1700 m. It is the most popular place to just rest. In the winter it is skiing; in the summer it is short walks, mountainous ascents and paragliding. By chair-ski lift you can rise to the altitude of 2000 m, and enjoy a wonderful panorama of the region. Here you can even ride a horse as you enjoy the views. 

After the descent to the mountain Charvak Lake, guided tour around Beldersay Gorge  there will be a stop for a picnic lunch in a picturesque national cafe in the Chimgan tourist centre. PM return to Tashkent. Dinner.

Day 14. Depart Tashkent

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport. Depart Tashkent.
